This project began with a space
needs/feasibility study that was successfully completed
by Vierbicher Associates, Inc. The new police station
was completed in December, 2003.
The 9,000 square foot building is
designed to efficiently utilize a compact site near
Minocqua’s existing town center. It includes a 6,600
square foot basement. The pitched roofs and dormers
provide an appearance that fits in with the surrounding
residential neighborhood.
The competitive construction bidding
process was structured with seven alternates. This
allowed budget control and flexibility, resulting in
final bids coming in very close to the architect’s
estimates. Vierbicher Associates investigated and
resea-rched various building options and built consensus
to help gain public approval.
Vierbicher Associates provided full
architectural services, as well as in-house civil
engineering, HVAC design, and landscape design. |
