This project included the
reconstruction and upgrade of Highway 23/33 and Viking
Drive, in the City of Reedsburg. The project involved
two phases. The first phase included reconstruction of
8,000 lineal feet of STH 23/33 and a new signalized
intersection with Viking Drive. This project converted a
rural two-lane highway to an urban four-lane street,
including replacement of existing pavement with new
concrete and storm sewer.
The second phase involved the
reconstruction of 5,200 lineal feet of Viking Drive,
north of STH 23/33. This project converted a rural
two-lane highway to an urban four-lane street, including
replacement of existing pavement with new bituminous
pavement and storm sewer. This segment of the project
serves Lands’ End’s phone and distribution centers. This
project was partially funded with WDOT-TEA and CDBG-PFED
grant programs.
