Vierbicher Associates, Inc. assisted the Town of Hillsboro with the development of a Zoning Ordinance. The predominately rural Town was facing many unique challenges associated with the development of non-metallic mineral extraction operations, large livestock operations, and large lot subdivisions. The Town worked with our team from start to finish to address these challenging issues.

Our initial services included assisting the Town with the creation and education of a Town Plan Commission. Once this was accomplished, we worked with the Town Plan Commission, Town Board, and Town residents to create and adopt an ordinance that was complex enough to address pressing issues, but flexible enough to accommodate the everyday activities of a rural community.

Through utilizing workshops and facilitation techniques, the team was able to provide a winning approach to the Town of Hillsboro's challenges.
