A $400,000 grant for the former
Solar Paints and Varnishes facility in Milwaukee
provided an opportunity to reuse this contaminated
property. Redevelopment of the site created 38 new
jobs and added another 95 secondary positions.
Annual earnings of $1.5 million were added to the
community. The project also includes future
industrial development on the site.
