Landscape Architect – Madison, Milwaukee, Reedsburg Office

Vierbicher has an opening in our Madison, Milwaukee, or Reedsburg, WI office location for a Landscape Architect with two or more years of experience to support our project teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with all aspects of project development including conceptual design, construction documents, construction details and construction administration
  • Assess physical and environmental features of a site; assess planned projects for opportunities and constraints, and review for code compliance
  • Design, develop and modify drawings
  • Integrate innovative sustainable design strategies and construction methods into project work
  • Attend project team meetings
  • Conduct research on various aspects of project development and prepare site review and analyze documents
  • Carry out special projects and assignments that contribute to the operation of the firm, such as assistance with marketing materials and development of office documents
  • Assure Vierbicher document standards are met and archive documents appropriately

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in landscape architecture
  • PLA (Professional Landscape Architect) in the State of Wisconsin
  • 2 or more years of experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of landscape architecture principles and practices
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of research and data collection
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, Photoshop or InDesign and other design tools
  • Ability to produce presentation quality graphics and renderings
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications
  • Experience in developing construction details
  • Ability and interest to engage in all aspects of project development and design operations
  • Ability to work well independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work closely with clients and other stakeholders
