The Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin, is world-renowned for preserving the history of the American circus. Owned by the Wisconsin Historical Society and operated by the non-profit Circus World Museum Foundation, the museum features circus artifacts and exhibits and hosts daily live circus performances throughout the summer. The museum grounds sit on 64 acres in downtown Barbaboo next the Barbaoo River, and has 30 permanent structures, seven winter quarters buildings, plus the Ringling Bros. Circus Train shed complex.
Each summer the museum’s animal acts and performers live on-site. In order to ensure the safety of the performers, animals, and visitors, the museum replaced their perimeter fencing to meet current USDA requirements.
Vierbicher was selected to assist the museum with the replacement of the perimeter fencing and to add security features to meet current USDA standards.
As part of the project, Vierbicher prepared design and bidding documents, and assisted with construction observation and construction administration for the project.
