Project Description

Completed in August 2020, Riverside Lofts is a 36-unit complex with an industrial design offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments; underground parking; and an incubator studio for area artists and makers to gather and work on their creations.

The project included the reuse of an historic building and construction of a riverwalk linking the site to the City of Jefferson public path. With the path connection, residents can access the boardwalk on the east bank of the Rock River and connect to adjacent downtown destinations.

As part of the project, a levy wall was constructed to protect the Lofts from occasional high water on the Rock River and future flood events. The steel sheet pile wall complements the industrial-looking building facade, as though it was an original part of the building.

Vierbicher provided site design, stormwater management design, land surveying, and federal, state, and municipal permitting services for the project.
