Project Description

The Community of Bishop’s Bay is an approximately 750-acre planned neighborhood in the City of Middleton and Town of Westport, northwest of the City of Madison. It is anticipated that Bishop’s Bay will contain 2,950 housing units with a population of over 6,000 residents when fully built out over the next 20 years. Vierbicher partnered with SWA Group of Laguna Beach, California to create the concept plan for Bishop’s Bay.

Since completion of the concept plan, Vierbicher has brought a comprehensive approach to planning and designing the neighborhood’s 231 acres of park space, including an inventory of regional park and recreational amenities and trail networks and a review of recent state and national trends in recreational preferences. The neighborhoods park spaces range from athletic fields to prairie and woodland restorations to urban waterfronts, all connected by a system of recreational trails.
