Project Description

The UW Campus Hilton Garden Inn was designed to provide a top of market guest experience at the heart of the UW-Madison Campus. The location of the property is key to support the growing hospitality demand in the Madison market. The redevelopment project features 176 guest rooms on four floors on top of a podium consisting of a parking structure and hotel function floors.

The hotel is adjacent to the East Campus Pedestrian Mall on the west, the Kohl Center and La Bahn Arena with the Southwest Commuter Bike Trail to the north, the City Station development and Regent Street to the east and south.

The project involved several challenges that Vierbicher was able to overcome through design including a small footprint, designing around a current commuter path and utility duct bank, and an active university site.

This project received a 2022 Commercial Design Award for Best New Development or Renovation: Hotel, from InBusiness Magazine.
