Project Description

DeForest’s Business Park is located on 115 acres on USH 51 adjacent to existing industrial uses. The business park is served by rail through three separate rail spur tracks. To date, all sites in the business park are developed—creating over 300 jobs. Some of the businesses include American Girl, Suncor, Firestone and Cartonplast. The Business Park is served by the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

The Village of DeForest and the DeForest Redevelopment Authority have aggressively used Tax Incremental Financing, Infrastructure Grants and Lease Revenue Bonds programs and creative approaches to stimulate development of the park.

Vierbicher has provided the planning, community development, environmental, civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the DeForest Business Park since its start in 1994. Vierbicher has also assisted businesses with site development engineering services including rail spur design. Specific project activities include:
