The DeForest North Towne Road / Premier Builders “Buhler Farm” project involved the transformation of a 37-acre family-owned farm into a higher-density residential development in the Village of DeForest. The project was envisioned to create a vibrant new neighborhood while completing an important north–south transportation connection between STH 19 and Windsor Road, supporting the Village’s long-term growth and infrastructure goals.
A unique aspect of this project was the coordinated effort between private development planning and a publicly funded roadway extension. Working closely with Premier Builders and the Village of DeForest, Vierbicher’s Madison and Reedsburg offices collaborated on the platting, Planned Unit Development (PUD), and the design and construction of the North Towne Road extension. This approach ensured the subdivision layout, roadway design, and infrastructure improvements were fully integrated and aligned with the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
Vierbicher provided civil engineering and land surveying services throughout all phases of the project. Our work included preliminary planning, plat development, detailed design, utility coordination, access planning, and infrastructure integration. Through close collaboration with the Village and the developer, the project was designed to meet municipal standards while delivering a well-connected, functional residential community.
