Project Description

Topgolf is making its debut in Wisconsin with a new flagship venue in Monona, bringing an innovative blend of entertainment, golf, and dining to the region. Featuring 72 climate-controlled hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar, event spaces, and an inviting outdoor patio, the facility is slated to open in Fall 2026 and is expected to draw visitors from across the Madison area and beyond.

This development stands out as the first of its kind in the state, requiring a highly coordinated approach to integrate Topgolf’s unique operational needs within a tight urban corridor. Designing for multi-level hitting bays, extensive technology infrastructure, and year-round guest comfort added an extra layer of complexity to the site planning and engineering process. The project team worked collaboratively to ensure the facility would meet Topgolf’s performance requirements while fitting seamlessly into the surrounding community and local transportation network.

Vierbicher is providing comprehensive civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services to support the development of Topgolf Monona. Our team has been involved in site layout and grading, stormwater management, utility coordination, and detailed survey work, ensuring the project advances smoothly from planning to construction. We also designed landscape features that enhance the guest experience and tie the venue into its broader context. As this landmark project moves forward, we’re proud to help bring Wisconsin’s first Topgolf to life and excited to see the community enjoy this new destination.
